Elkhart Dollar General robbed at gunpoint over weekend

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department reports officers responded to the Dollar General at 1800 Bristol St. around 5:26 p.m., Saturday, regarding a robbery in progress.

An employee told police two unknown men in face masks entered the store when one of them displayed a handgun, robbing him at gunpoint.

The report states the subjects took the cash drawer and its contents from the register, leaving on foot around 5:19 p.m. before police arrived.

No arrests have been made at this time, and the case remains under investigation.
