Elkhart Economic Development: Forest River RV expanding

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Forest River Company in Elkhart is expanding.

We told you about the recently signed $8 million contract with Emeritus, one of the largest retired and assisted living companies in the country.

Now, we are learning Forest River is also expanding one of its manufacturing plants.

Right now, the plant on County Road 1 is 55,000 square-feet.

The new facility, on the same property, will be over 100,000 square-feet.

"We're excited about forest river continuing to excell in what they do and the expansion opportunities certainly means additional investment and new jobs," said Barkley Garrett of the Elkhart Economic Development.

The expansion project is expected to be done in November.
