ELKHART, Ind. -- Dozens of voices echoed through the streets of Elkhart today demanding justice for Jacob.
26-year-old Jacob Callahan was found lying along CR4 in August with a life threatening head injury. He later died from those injuries.
“We need Justice for Jacob,” Sandy Callahan said, Jacob’s stepmother. “Our son was beat and left in the road and was hit by a car. We want the people that did it or know about it to come forward and serve their justice.”
Family and friends of Jacob gathered near the road where he was found to remember him and to ask anyone with information to come forward.
“He had an awesome smile, I mean he’d just light up your day walking in a room and smiling,” Colette Callahan said, Jacob’s aunt.
Anyone with any information about what happened to Jacob is asked to call the Elkhart Sheriff's Department at (574) 891-2345.
