Elkhart Fire Chief announces retirement

ELKHART, Ind. - The City of Elkhart Fire Chief Shaun Edgerton announced he will retire at the end of the year after three years in the position.
Edgerton was appointed to the role in 2020 by Mayor Rod Roberson. Before that, he served as an Elkhart firefighter and worked in the private sector.
His last day is December 31.
“I appreciate Shaun’s service to our fire department and the residents of Elkhart,” said Mayor Rod Roberson. “We wish him well in the next stage of his life.”
