Elkhart fire equipment manufacturer strikes deal with F.D.N.Y.

ELKHART, Ind. – An Elkhart fire equipment manufacturer has reached an agreement with the New York City Fire Department.

Elkhart Brass has sold its “Hire Rise Hero Pipe” system to the F.D.N.Y.

The system allows firefighters to attack a fire in a high rise, from a floor above without using a truck.

Elkhart Brass calls the system a real game changer.

Firefighters say the tool should help them save lives and property.
