ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Historical Museum is set to host an Old-Time Country guided dance program on March 7 beginning at 7 p.m.
The dance is set to be held at the Museum's Gymnasium, where participants will learn dances such as circle mixers, Virigina reels, and square dancing.
This event doesn't require any dance experience or even a dancing partner.
The program will be led by Karen Andrews of Goshen Area Contra Dancers and will be accompanied by Les Gustafson of the Band 'O Goshen.
This event costs $10 at the door and no registration is required.
“We enjoy offering these movement-forward programs,” said Curator of Education Jenifer Blouin Policelli. “They’re engaging and memorable because participants get their whole bodies involved, but they’re also just plain fun! We hope people create positive associations with the Museum through these programs and learn a little history.
It is recommended that comfortable shoes be worn, and that guest bring water bottles, as tap water will be available. Limited concessions will also be provided for purchase.
