ELKHART, Ind—over 2,000 people attended this year's “Trunk or Treat” event. This event takes place at Island Park where kids can travel around the park visiting local vendors and getting some sweet treats ahead of the holiday.
The line for this year's event went well past the bridge. One kid, Ashton Kesit says he had to wait, “probably like two, two or one hours.”
Some booths this year were handing out fan favorites! Sienna Nienzyk says, “my favorite kind of candy is Kit Kats. Ashton Kesit adds: “my favorite is KitKat and I have it”
Elkhart Parks and Recreation will host other events throughout the spooky season. For more information on upcoming events visit: Parks & Rec - City of Elkhart
