LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. - An Elkhart man died in a crash during a police chase at State Road 120 Friday afternoon, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened just before 4:30 p.m. at the intersection with County Road 1100 East.

According to the investigation, the chase began in Branch County before moving south into LaGrange County. While traveling south on C.R. 1100, the driver of the vehicle, identified as 30-year-old Anthony Grant, allegedly ignored a stop sign with S.R. 120 and was hit by an eastbound semi.

Grant died from his injuries.

The driver of the semi was not hurt.
