Elkhart man gets 160 months in prison for crimes against children

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- According to the United States Attorney's Office, 40-year-old Sean Posey was sentenced to 160 months in prison, 15 years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay $21,500 in restitution to victims.

According to documents in the case, between August and September 2021, Posey possessed over 900 photos and seven videos on his cell phone consisting of child sexual abuse material, including images of minors under the age of 12.

Authorities say Posey had previously been convicted of sexual misconduct with a minor and was a registered sex offender.
