ELKHART, Ind. - It what is likely the final meeting between Elkhart Memorial and Elkhart Central in boys basketball, the two rivals played yet another tight contest. The Memorial Chargers emerged victorious, winning 67-56 to capture the Longfellow Trophy.
Though it's possible the two could meet again in Sectionals, they will split the two historic trophies - the Longfellow to Memorial and the Mangy Lion to Central in football - as they merge in Fall 2020.
