Elkhart Municipal Airport receives $1.1M airport improvement grant

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Municipal Airport has been awarded an infrastructure grant from the Federal Aviation Administration.

The airport received $1.1 million as part of the Airport Improvement Program to install perimeter fencing.

This is the third allotment of grants for the $3.18 billion Airport Improvement Program.

In this allotment, the FAA awarded $477 million to 264 airports in 44 states.
