Elkhart PD responds to apartment shooting, 1 man dead

Elkhart Police responded to a shooting at 501 West Indiana Avenue in Elkhart early Saturday morning. When they got to the Rosedale Apartment complex at around 2:30 a.m., they found a man dead inside.
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Tristan Branch of Chicago, Illinois.
Police worked all throughout the morning to collect evidence and interview anyone who may have information about the shooting.
An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday, July 10th.
