Elkhart police asking for help in shots fired investigation
ELKHART, Ind. – The Elkhart Police Department is asking for the public’s help in gathering information about a shots fired incident that took place on March 21.
At 9:50 p.m., officers were called to Carriage House apartments after dispatch received several reports of gunshots.
Three apartments were reportedly struck by gunfire in addition to eight vehicles parked along Bradford Court.
No one was reported injured.
Elkhart police processed the scene and collected more than 30 shell casings.
A witness told police that gunfire was exchanged between people inside a white car and a black SUV.
There is no more suspect or vehicle information.
