Elkhart Police asking for help locating missing man

The Elkhart Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a man who hasn't been seen since December 13.
Employees of the Red Roof Inn contacted police Monday morning to report a man who stays in the area of the hotel and keeps property at the hotel has not been seen since December 13.
The man, 79-year-old John D. Smith, is 5'5" tall, 170 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing tan pants, a camouflage jacket and black boots.
Police do not have a photo of Smith.
