ELKHART, Ind. - The Elkhart Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a McDonald's on Main Street Sunday night.

At 9:30 p.m., police were called to the 3400 block of S. Main Street for the incident.

According to an employee, a man came up to the window of the drive thru, pointed a handgun at the employee, and demanded money from the cash register.

The employee gave the suspect money and the suspect ran east toward Main Street, reports said.

Police did not find the suspect in the area.

There is no further suspect information available.
