Elkhart Police investigating hit and run on Cassopolis Street, County Road 6

ELKHART, Ind. - The Elkhart Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a white Jeep and male driver allegedly involved in a hit and run crash on June 16.

The crash happened just after 10 p.m. at the intersection of Cassopolis Street and County Road 6.

According to the investigation, the Jeep Wrangler drove off the right side of the road, hit a stopped vehicle in traffic and a stopped motorcycle at the intersection and then left the area, driving west on C.R. 6.

The Jeep was said to have been leaving the Galley Sports Bar before the crash.

The Jeep is a four-door white vehicle with a black top and black wheel fenders. It likely has driver’s side damage and damage to the front end, including a missing front wheel fender.
