Elkhart Police investigating robbery involving kitchen knife

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.—Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on May 11 near Indiana and Oakland involving a kitchen knife.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery that occurred around 2:30 p.m. on May 11 near Indiana Ave. and Oakland Ave.

The victim said that he was walking down the sidewalk when two black males got out of a vehicle, pushed him to the ground and took his wallet. According to the victim, one of the males was holding a kitchen knife.

While there were no visible signs of injury, the victim did complain of pain.

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model Chevy passenger car.

There is no further information regarding suspect descriptions.

The investigation is ongoing.
