ELKHART, Ind. - The Elkhart Police Department are investigating a shooting with injuries that occurred Wednesday afternoon in the 600 block of Gladstone Avenue.

Just before 4 p.m., a call to 911 about a shooting with injuries came in and Elkhart Police officers and emergency personnel arrived shortly after.

Officials state. upon arrival, officers encountered a 21-year-old male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and this remains an active and on-going investigation.
