Elkhart Police investigating Thursday night shooting

ELKHART, Ind. – One teenager was shot on Thursday night in the 1200 block of Main Street, the Elkhart Police Department reported.

At 5:40 p.m., officers were called to a gas station for reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old male lying in front of the main entrance to the gas station suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officer administered first aid on scene, and the juvenile was taken to the hospital.

At last update, his injuries were non-life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.
