Police: Body found in shed is not suspicious

ELKHART, Ind. -- Officers are investigating a body found inside a shed on the 400 block of West Marion Street, according to Elkhart Police.

Sgt. Chris Snyder says, the call came in around 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening. He says, right now there is nothing suspicious about this death and that neighbors don't need to worry.

According to a neighbor, the shed where the body was found is attached to a home, but you can only access it from the outside.

A 14-year-old girl who lives on the first floor of the home said she and her sister found the man's body when they went into the shed to put something away.

An autopsy is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday.
