Elkhart Police respond to shooting at residential home

ELKHART, Ind. - Elkhart Police responded to a shooting at a residence on Sunday, November 5 around 1:20 a.m. 

Officers found a 29-year-old male victim with apparent gunshot wounds. 

He received first aid and was transferred to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

According to Elkhart Police, the victim reported that two males entered the residence, shot him, hit him over the head with an object, threatened him and then took his wallet. 

No arrests have been made at this time and this incident is under investigation.
