ELKHART, Ind. - This Elkhart Police Department believes the burglary, attempted burglary and criminal mischief at three Elkhart businesses on Sunday morning are connected.
On April 14, at about 7:39 a.m., Elkhart Police were dispatched to Tacos Acapulco at 1108 W. Bristol St. for a burglary report.
Through the investigation they found that a man had kicked in the back glass door to the business at approximately 4:57 a.m. and took a tablet and cash from inside the register.
The man was driven away in a vehicle by a woman.
Also on April 14, at about 9:49 a.m., Elkhart Police were dispatched to Food Shack at 840 W. Bristol St. for an attempted burglary report.
The Initial investigation here indicates that at approximately 4:53 a.m. a man entered the business by breaking glass on the drive thru window.

Officers also responded around 8:51 a.m. on April 14, to a report of a man and two women attempting to break into a towel dispenser and the steel door for the storage area at Mr. Bubbles at 812 S Main St., causing damage, occurring at about 2:42 a.m.
