ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart City residents fought a mobile home that was put on a property along east Beardsley Avenue on Thursday.
Residents claimed the home was an eye sore in the community.
ABC57 was told in October the city had rezoned the area to allow the mobile home on the property.
In January the home was moved to the property, but it quickly made residents unhappy.
Later in February, the permit for the home was revoked, and on Thursday the two sides came to compromise, agreeing on auxiliary dwelling unit.
ABC57 was told the homeowner put up the mobile home to take care of their sick mother.
At this time, it is unclear what will happen next.
