Elkhart Sheriff’s Office offering extra Halloween candy safety

©2019 Multimedia Graphic Network, Inc. ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office is offering free Halloween candy scanning for potentially hazardous items in children’s candy.
There will be an X-ray machine at the Elkhart County Correctional Complex Jail Lobby on October 31 until 9 p.m., and at both county courthouses on November 1 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Parents are welcome to bring their children’s candy to any of the locations at any time on either day.
The Elkhart County Correctional Complex is located at 26861 CR 26.
The Elkhart County Courthouse locations are at 315 S. Second Street, Elkhart and at 101 N. Main Street, Goshen.
