Elkhart Sheriff's Department seeking driver in hit and run

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department is looking for the driver who struck a pedestrian on CR 18 Friday at 10:19 p.m.

According to deputies, the driver of a light colored pickup truck was traveling eastbound on CR 18 when the truck struck 30-year-old Joshua Phillips as he walked in the area of CR18 east of CR23.

The vehicle then fled the scene.

Phillips is stable at the hospital.
