Elkhart to receive funds to deal with blighted properties

ELKHART, Ind. --- State officials have announced Elkhart County will receive $2.7 million to demolish blighted properties.
Nine Indiana applicants received part of a combined $10 million fund.
Many of the homes that are scheduled for demolition were foreclosed on during the recession.
