New Elkhart voter registration office opening downtown

ELKHART, Ind. – Officials in Elkhart are opening a part-time voter registration office on Thursday.

The new office will be located on the third floor of the Elkhart County Health Department’s Lincoln Center on Oakland Avenue.

Voters will be able to register from noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but officials say additional hours will be added as they are needed.

The part time office will offer full services, including voter registration assistance, absentee ballot information and upcoming election information.
