ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – Elkhart Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was located during a welfare check.
Police were called to a home in the 500 block of West Blaine Avenue on Sunday around 3:30 pm. When they arrived, they found a woman who had died from apparent gunshot wounds.
Police have identified the victim as Christina Pina, a 49-year-old from Elkhart, according to the report.
The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is currently investigating.
