Elkhart's Gracelawn Cemetery reopens after erosion issues

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Gracelawn Cemetery in Elkhart has officially reopened after the effects of erosion on the west edge of the property last month.

"In a collaborative effort between Engineering, Buildings & Grounds, and the Cemetery Departments, the situation has been assessed and stabilized," city officials said. "Fencing has been installed in this section of the cemetery to keep visitors away from the bank. As of this week, the cemetery has been reopened."
