Emergency crews responding to person hit by car in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind.  — Emergency crews responded to a car versus pedestrian accident in South Bend.

It happened near South 25th Street and Pleasant Street just after 6:40 Thursday morning. 

Police tell us the victim is around 60 years old. She was walking east on Pleasant when she was hit. The woman suffered a broken leg.

A driver was making a left onto 25th street and told officers he didn't see her.

The scene is now clear.
