Gamers from across the region are headed to South Bend, this weekend.
The Century Center's Bendix Arena, the area's only dedicated eSports facility, hosts PWR^ South Bend. It's a three day eSports convention and tournament, welcoming players from across the region, including Illinois and Ohio.
Along with competing, organizers say it's a great chance for younger folks to learn about a career in video games or eSports.
“Video games are larger than just eSports. There's so many more opportunities. So it’s just a place to learn about how to bring those things together, how to connect them,” Pwr^ South Bend organizer Brian Exner said.
PWR^ South Bend is Dec. 17-19. People wanting to compete can register at the door. More details at https://pwrupsb.com/
