EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Vicky White, the corrections officer who helped Alabama inmate Casey White escape from prison, died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds Monday evening.
The two were captured following a police pursuit in Evansville, Indiana.
According to ABC News Casey White was driving the vehicle when the chase ended, reports said.
Casey White was detained and has minor injuries.
The pursuit began when a Cadillac that looked like the reported suspect vehicle was seen near the sheriff’s office.
One weapon was initially found inside the vehicle.
