Event helps students pursue the arts

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- It was time to celebrate at the Charles Martin Center Saturday night.
Over one hundred people came together to raise money for the arts!
They did it with song, dance, and a dinner.
The goal was to raise a couple thousand dollars for a few lucky students who want to pursue the arts in the near future.
Those in attendance think it's important to help these kids move on to bigger and better things.
"It makes me feel wonderful. We want to be of help to students for higher education," said Mary Alford.
The Center thought this event was so successful, they plan to hold it again next year.
