Everett Golson named starting QB for Ireland game

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Notre Dame football has officially announced who's landed the coveted starting QB spot for the Fighting Irish.
Sophomore Everett Golson will get to start next weekend in Ireland. Coach Kelly made it official during his press conference Thursday.
"They made the announcement, I’m the starter for Navy. That doesn't really solidify that I’m the starter for the whole season,” said Golson. “I'm going to keep my foot on the gas, keep pushing, and keep working. I'm trying to be the best player I can be."
Golson and the Fighting Irish will face Navy next Saturday in Dublin.
