SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Summer Restaurant Weeks is back in Downtown South Bend this August with an additional week added in 2024 due to the popularity of the event.

This year's Summer Restaurant Weeks will run from Aug. 2 to Aug.18 and will feature 33 locally owned, independent restaurants offering valued-priced and specialty menu offerings.

"Due to popularity and increased number of participating restaurants, an additional weekend of the event has been added," organizers said. "Some locations are taking part in a special Cocktail Contest which allows diners to vote on their favorite drink."

Organizers say approximately ten percent of the proceeds from each meal will be donated directly to Beacon Children’s Hospital and that in 2023 the Downtown Dining Association donated over $27,000 to support Beacon Children’s Hospital.
