Extra security at Penn High School Friday following potential threat found on bathroom wall

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Extra police will be at Penn High School on Friday in response to a potential threat made to the school, the St. Joseph County Police Department reported.

In an email sent to parents, school officials said that a written threat, saying, “Come if you dare. Shooting Friday 10/29/21”, was found on a bathroom wall at the end of the school day on Thursday.

Police are investigating the threat.

School officials said additional steps will be taken to protect students and staff on Friday, including additional law enforcement officers at the school throughout the day.

The letter tells parents to remind their students to use the Safe School Helpline as a confidential way to report student concerns about anything that threatens the safety of PHM schools.
