ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast
Tuesday, August 10th, 2021
Very heavy rain and strong thunderstorms moved through overnight. Watch out for any potential flooding and small tree branches during your commute into work.
More hot and humid weather today along with another round of storms. Once rain moves out this morning, clouds will break up for the afternoon and it heats up quickly! We top out in the low 90s and the heat index will be in the low triple digits due to how humid it’s going to be. During extreme heat like this, it’s important to drink plenty of water and takes breaks from the heat. Another round of storms moves in overnight, this round could be severe with damaging wind and heavy rain being the main threats. Those scattered thunderstorms will linger into Wednesday afternoon.
The extreme heat continues Wednesday and Thursday as the heat index will stay near the triple digits. A stray shower or storm is possible on Thursday but more isolated storms are likely that night. Thankfully we cool back down into the low 80s for Friday through the weekend.
Today: Extreme Heat. Storms late. High 92.
Tonight: Scattered storms, possibly strong to severe. Low 74.
Wednesday: Scattered thunderstorms. High 90.
Thursday: Partly cloudy, isolated shower or storm. High 89.
