FAA predicts airport waits to be longer due to sequester

Thanks to the sequester, a wait at the airport could increase an hour and a half.

The FAA predicts that major airports will be affected during peak flying times.

The federal cuts mean agencies like the TSA will have a hiring freeze and reductions in overtime. This means there will be less staff at places like security checkpoints.

Some say delays will be so bad, it will feel like there is a massive snow storm at the airport every day.

Smaller airports, like South Bend Regional could lose air traffic controllers.

However, it will take a few months for the changes to take place.
