FAFSA filing deadline extended to April 18

The deadline to file the 2022-2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid has been extended to April 18, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education announced.

The original deadline, April 15, is a state holiday so state offices will be closed.

Students must file FAFSA to be eligible for most financial aid, such as the 21st Century Scholarship and Workforce Ready Grant.

The Commission and INvestEd is hosting two Facebook Live events to help Hoosier families understand FAFSA:

Saturday, April 2

  • Noon to 1 p.m. (EST)

Wednesday, April 13
