Heating Degree Days explained
The forecast stays fair and mild for mid-March, this weekend. Highs in the low to mid-50s, are more than five degrees above normal. Clouds increase Sunday ahead of our next storm system that brings some much-needed precipitation. Rain could mix with snow Monday, as temperatures struggle to warm into the 40s. Estimates for up to a half inch of rain is promising, but our dry conditions could easy zap those estimates lower. There is another chance of rain Wednesday into Thursday or next week.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy to mostly clear. Low 26.
Saturday: Mostly sunny. High 52.
Sunday: Increasing clouds. High 54.
Monday: Light rain / snow / mix. High 42.

Snow accumulation is unlikely, focus is on needed rain ( liquid precipitation).
