Fairplain Drive closed for construction work beginning Wednesday

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Fairplain Drive will be closed for construction work beginning Wednesday, the Berrien County Road Department announced.
The road will be closed between M-139 and Mall Drive.
Crews will make structure adjustments beginning Wednesday in preparation for road milling and paving starting the week of April 25.
During phase one of the project, the detour will follow Napier Avenue to Plaza Drive or Nickerson Avenue to Nickerson Court to Plaza Drive.
During phase two, one lane of traffic will be open in each direction.
The project plan includes resurfacing the road and reconfiguring lanes for safer use.
