SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- For the most part, temperatures have been quite summer-like since the start of September across Michiana.
Despite the warm weather, autumn's color explosion has arrived on schedule. The color change really started to accelerate over the last seven days.
As of October 24, fall color is peaking across Michiana, and should remain vibrant for the next two weeks. Viewers from all parts of the ABC57 viewing area have been sending in photos of the best-looking leaves near them. You can add to the array at [email protected].
If you haven't had a chance to see the colorful leaves, this upcoming weekend should provide a great opportunity. Dry, sunny weather is on the way with highs near 60 degrees.
We'll likely move past peak color by Election Day (November 5).
