SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Right now, organizers are getting ready for "Fall Frolic", a huge annual 5k fundraiser to help support the preschool classroom inside the Center for the Homeless.
ABC57’s Annie Kate takes us inside the classroom and shows us what it means for its students.
A Montessori classroom for ages three to six is located inside South Bend’s Center for the Homeless.
The classroom gives students security they might not feel outside those four walls.
It’s free for families, and students can stay in the program even if they move out of the center.
The room is catered to students who face hardships, typically not seen in traditional school systems.
But, to keep it operating and free to the community the school needs support.
You can donate to support the classroom here.
And you can still sign up for the "Fall Frolic" here.
