Fall ReLeaf program begins November 1 in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The City of South Bend’s Fall ReLeaf program will run from November 1 through December 10 and residents can now access the leaf pickup schedule.

City crews will visit designated zones two times during the program to collect leaves.

Residents do not need to call to request a pickup.

All dates can be found here and are weather permitting.

You can also see leaf pickups in real-time using the city’s Fall ReLeaf Live Tracker.

Residents can type in their address or zoom in to their streets to view the status of different zones and streets.

The city asks residents to adhere to the following program guidelines:

  • Leaves need to be raked to the tree lawn area, not into the street, by 6 a.m. on the day of pickup to guarantee the leaves will be collected
  • Leaves must be free of sticks, trash, and other debris in order to be picked up
  • Cars cannot not be parked on top of or in front of leaf piles along curb lines
  • Leaf burning is prohibited and is in violation of City rules

Residents who are participating in the city’s yard waste program can also put leaves in yard waste bins.
