Families in need receive dinner for the holidays

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -

The Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency served 937 frozen chickens Wednesday to those in need of Benton Harbor.

The food was handed out along Miller Street just downtown in Benton Harbor Wednesday morning and went until about noon.

Families also received milk and vegetables for those families.

"People are really thankful, some are going without food for the holidays, and this is a jump start to get them going,” said the Community Services Manager for SMCAA.
