Family promises justice as Timothy Johnson is laid to rest
CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- It's been almost three months since 24-year-old Timothy Johnson's body was found lying on the side of M-152 near Dowagiac and today he was laid to rest.
Church pews were filled with red and black in honor of Timothy Johnson.
Cass County Sheriff Clint Roach determined Johnson's death died in a hit and run on May 24, but Johnson's family still isn't convinced.
"It was surreal at first, but now it’s real, so we got closure a little bit by finally laying him to rest and now the fight is on,” said Isheria Jackson, Johnson's sister.
Jackson and her family believe timothy was beaten to death as a result of the woman he was allegedly dating and vows to continue seeking justice for her little brother.
"They better make their peace with god because they’re going to rot in prison. if it’s the last thing i ever do, I'm going to make sure they go down.”
