Family releases funeral details for Washington High School student

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- We have new information in the shooting death of a Washington High School student.

Family members of 18-year-old, Chris Simril said he will be buried next week on Wednesday, in St. Louis, where the family is from.

Currently, the funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m., but there have been discussions about moving it back to 1 p.m. for locals travelling to Saint Louis.

Simril will be buried at Laurel Hills Cemetery in Saint Louis.

Police said Simril was shot in the head on Sunday on the corner of West Ewing and Walnut Street at Walker Field Park in South Bend.

Police have not made any arrests in this case.
