Farm tractor driver injured in Kosciusko County crash
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. – The driver of a farm tractor was injured on Wednesday morning after a crash involving a pickup truck, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office reported.
At 9:59 a.m., deputies were called to the 4900 block of West County Road 200 North in Harrison Township for reports of a crash.
A preliminary investigation found that the pickup truck was behind the tractor as both were traveling westbound on C.R. 200 N.
As the tractor began turning onto a driveway from the shoulder of the roadway, the front right corner of the truck allegedly struck the rear left wheel of the tractor, according to reports.
The driver of the tractor was ejected from the tractor as it slid from the roadway and into the yard.
The driver of the tractor was taken to the hospital with a complaint of back pain.
The driver of the pickup was not injured in the crash.
The cause of this incident remains under investigation.
