Farmworkers Recognition Breakfast to be held at Four Winds Casino

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- For the first time in two years, Proteus Inc. will be hosting a Farmer Recognition Breakfast at the Four Winds Casino on Thursday, March 31.

The event begins at 7:30 a.m. with guest speakers beginning their addresses at 8 a.m. These speakers include career coach, Jesusa Rivera, South Bend Mayor Mueller, and a number of Indiana State Representatives.

This opportunity bookends National Farmworkers Awareness Week that runs from March 27 to March 31.

Proteus Inc. is a nonprofit that serves agricultural workers across Iowa, Nebraska, and Indiana. They work to aid workers in job training, education assistance, and providing health services.

Cancelled for the past two years due to COVID-19, Proteus Inc. hosts this event to recognize and honor the laborers that provide food for family's tables.
