FULTON COUNTY, Ind. -- A two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon left one 72-year-old dead, according to the Indiana State Police (ISP).

After notifying the deceased's family, ISP announced the 72-year-old Sharon Roth of Fulton County lost her life in the fatal crash Thursday, saying that it happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the junction of US 31 and S.R. 110.

According to ISP's investigation, a 2018 Chevrolet driven by Roth crossed US 31, turning into the direct path of a 2021 Ford, where both vehicles collided.

Roth sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Ford's driver and juvenile passenger were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and toxicology reports are pending, but drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a contributing factor to the accident.
